Salt Lake Temple

A few friends and I went to Temple Square on New Year's Eve to take some pictures with the lights. This one is by far my favorite from the night. I love the reflection of the temple and trees in the water. So beautiful!

Jackson Hole with the Family

In June my family and I went to Jackson Hole for a vacation. It's the first time in a LONG time that all of us kids and my mom went on a vacation together. I had a lot of fun. We stayed in Teton Village in a house and had fun playing games, cooking dinners, enjoying one another's company, hiking, chasing the grand kids around (well only Kate because the other two couldn't crawl yet... ) but anywho, it was fun. It rained a lot so we didn't do many outdoor activities, but the one we did do (the hike around Jenny Lake), it wasn't rainy so that was nice. We also shopped around the town a little bit and got a couple of souvenirs... I bought a pair of earings, picture frame, and a sweatshirt. Oh and I almost forgot. We did one of those old-time photos with everyone. I'll try and remember to scan it in and post it. It's a great photo. Oh memories...

Here are some pictures that I took from the trip. I'm getting better of taking pictures of actual people instead of just scenery... so not everyone is in the pictures and I apologize but I'm getting better. There are still a lot of scenery pictures but those are the ones I like to take. Enjoy. ;)

Missing in action from these pictures: Matt Stalsberg (Melissa's husband), John West (mom's boyfriend), and ME!! I rarely take pictures of myself so consider yourself lucky if you see one! :)

AJ and Hudson (Hudson's the baby)

The Tetons.

Melissa and Jennifer acting silly, as usual.

Jenny Lake.

Laura teaching Kate how to use her camera. I think she's a photographer in the making. :)

From L to R: Jennifer, AJ, Mom, baby Sam, Melissa, Grant, Laura's back w/ Kate and Jon's head.

Grant, Hudson, Jennifer, and AJ.

Jon teaching Kate how to drink from a CamelBak. So cute.

AJ overlooking Jenny Lake.

Jon, Laura, and Kate taking a breather and eating some snacks.

I forgot what this waterfall is called, but it was the whole point of the hike.

Jenny Lake.

I absolutely love this picture. She looks so intelligent, doesn't she? Doing a word search and she doesn't even know how to read!

And last but not least, baby Sam Stalsberg. He's so cute. :)

Jet Cars

So like a year ago or so I went to Rocky Mountain Raceway with a friend to take some pictures of the cars and races. They had a bunch of jet cars there. For those of you who don't know what a jet car is, it's basically a dragster with a jet engine on the back of it. When they start to go, it's like you're right next to an airplane. That's how loud it is. IT'S AWESOME! You can feel the ground shaking! While they're getting ready to drive up to the starting line, the engines let out flames! How sweet is that? So here's my favorite picture of the night.

Lake Powell at Night

Over Memorial Day weekend I went to Lake Powell with a bunch of friends. It was a blast. This is one of my favorite pictures I took while I was there. I love the light on the houseboat, how it's like a starburst. Awesome.

Samuel Ray Stalsberg

Here is my brand new nephew: Samuel Ray Stalsberg. He is now one month old. These picture were taken on Day One of life. He was 9 lbs 10 oz and 20" long. Wow. Big boy. His mommy Melissa is my older sister and his daddy is Matt. They are so happy he is here and it's so cute to watch them with him, especially Matt because he doesn't have that much experience with babies. Sam's hands were as big as his 4-month old cousin Hudson's. Haha. We measured the boys last night at my Dad's house and their torso's were the same length. They're 4 months apart!

Precious Kate

Here is my precious niece Kate. I took this at the hospital when we went to see baby Sammy. I asked Kate if I could take her picture before she went home and she said no and gave me this sweet innocent look so of course I defied her wishes and took a picture. This was the only one I got and I think it is just adorable!

The Johnson Kids

Last fall I took pictures of my coworker Steve's kids: Andrew, Caitlyn, and Faith. They are so adorable and so sweet. We went up to Sundance Ski Resort to do the photos and it was so beautiful up there. I definitely want to do pictures up there again. I've noticed when I post pictures on this the color is a little off so sorry about that. I don't know what the deal is...

Hudson - 3 Months Old

This is a little photo shoot with baby Hudson for his 3-month pictures. I can't believe he's already 3 months old. He was blessed last Sunday along with his 4 cousins on the Bay side. They're sure gonna cause some rucus when they're older. Oh... this is his mom Jennifer. Aren't they so cute together? I just love black and white pictures. I, of course, shot them all in color but I just love boosting the contrast and highlights in the black and white. Anyways... here they are.

The Allan Family

This is my wonderful family, well, most of them. I took this at my grandpa's 80th birthday party in January. It sure is hard to take a big group shot like this and have everyone looking at the camera, with their eyes open, and smiling. For the most part everyone is, except Jennifer...

Baby Hudson

Here is my handsome nephew Hudson. These pics were taken the same time as my earlier post. This time they're in black and white. One of them is the same as the color one in the other post. I used my 50mm manual lens for these pics so it's hard to get the focus where you want it so there were only a couple worth looking at. But, I like them and that's all that matters. :)
